The Tenth Day of Hasty Restraint

Hastiness in Restraint by Maria L. Berg 2023

For this morning’s photographic adventure, I set out to capture hastiness in restraint and restraint in hastiness. Hastiness made me think of running, and tripping, dropping things, making mistakes. Restraint made me think of rope, tied hands. For today’s images I hastily revisited a fringe curtain filter.

2023 November PAD Chapbook Challenge: Day 10

Today’s prompt is to write a character poem.

Down the rabbit hole again

Always late
always dashing
the date always important
time restrained on a
golden chain
to his waistcoat

Is he late for tea?
croquet with the queen?
Why didn’t he plan ahead?

He never learns
and the minute hand turns
and he’s late, he’s late
he’s late!
