Inspired by Es Devlin’s Masterclass, I spent part of yesterday and this morning creating a mirror world. I had big plans to play with the oracle ball I made and bokeh and all sorts of things. I thought it would be perfect for tilt because I tied one of the mirrors to tilt at about a forty-five degree angle, based on Es mentioning that was an old theater trick to make things float. However, life got in the way today and I didn’t get to play in my mirror world, so today’s images are process photos, but they’re still kind of cool.
November PAD Chapbook Challenge
Today’s prompt is to write a “speed up” poem.
A Day Tilted
this
morning
moves slowly
I catch the end
then move to mirrors
finish building the world
then the phone rings and I tilt
So much to do and fast
must speed up: you’re here
now no water
now no time
oven
“help”
